Weekend Update

Since I missed posting last week I’ll update you extra this time around:

So far I’m on track with my Bible Reading.  So far I’ve read Genesis through Numbers and Matthew, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, and Galatians.

I’m also on track with my 52 book goal for the year.  So far I’ve read, He is not Silent by Al Mohler, Visit the Sick by Brain Croft, Make Your Church’s Money Work by John Temple, and The Art of Manfishing by Thomas Boston.  I’ve started reading The Advent of Evangelicalism by Michael Haykin and Kenneth Stewart, and I read a short book this afternoon titled, Baptism: Archaeological, Historical, and Biblical by F. M. Buhler.  I’m also reading The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges as part of a Men’s Bible Study group.

I didn’t post at all last week.  I’m sorry, God has forgiven me, why can’t you?

I gained back everything I lost.  194lbs.

I have had several opportunities to share the Gospel.  Although I didn’t spend a whole lot of time, I did get the seed in the ground.  I pray it was good ground.

On another note, you can now subscribe to sermons from the pulpit of Crossway Baptist Church by going to this website.  So far I have added all of my sermons on Mark.  I’ll continue to update the site until all available sermons are on it.  If you can’t wait, just check this page for all available sermons.

I’m also cultivating an idea for what I hope will become a book.  It would basically be an attempt to answer the question, “What Is The Gospel?”, comprehensively.   We’ll see.  It might just be a lot of  blog posts.

I have great faith that you will lose the weight you gained, that you will continue to spread the gospel, that you will blog more often, and write a book. If you have to lose one of your aims, lose the weight one, a lot of us have that problem.
