Question for all of you smart people who surf the web…

I’m looking for some good youth materials to use to train young Christians.  This is not for a Sunday School class, but something more ‘hands-on’ as far as training them to be the next generation of leaders in the Church.

Any suggestions?  Or do I have to come up with something on my own?

  1. A question Jeremy are you asking for something other than catechisms but rather something that would train them to become elders?

  2. Not necessarily to train them to become Elders, but something that would help them grow in the Word, but then that would give me some sort of guidelines to help them discover their gifts, and then find a way to use them in the Church.

Because they are Christians and Church members.

Why are only adults trained to serve?

  3. I’m not a smart man but I know a tough question when I see one.

I’m thinking one of your more intelligent readers may be able to lead you to the materials if they exist.

As to your second question I suspect that only adults are trained to serve because that has been the Church tradition.

I don’t know if lesson materials can teach what you want. It has to be demonstrated through your life. Maybe we need to take those who are interested with us into ministry opportunities more. Is not that what the Lord did with the 12 disciples? http://pastormarkworden.blogspot.com/

  5. I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
