But in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.
1 Peter 3:15-16

Last week Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron took on the “Rational Response Squad” a group of atheists who are responsible for the “Blasphemy Challenge”. You can view the debate here in a series of videos. Does God exist? Nightline debate.

Now I am not going to knock these two brothers they lay it out on the line all the time. However, I must question their methodology of apologetics. Ray Comfort in the presentation he gave uses classical evidentialism to present the arguement for God. I do not believe this is the best methodology. In fact I think that presuppositional methodology would have in fact answered the “Rational response Squad” statements much better.

As a service to those who wish to learn more about this type of apologetics especially with evangelism in mind I suggest you down load these two MP3s.
