New Books!

I received some new books for my birthday today! They are all awesome.

The Letter of James (Pillar New Testament Commentary) by Douglas J. Moo.

Deliberate Church: Building Your Ministry on the Gospel by Mark Dever, Paul Alexander

Biblical Foundations for Baptist Churches: A Contemporary Ecclesiology by John S. Hammett

C. H. Spurgeon Autobiography: The Early Years, 1834-1859 by C. H. Spurgeon

C. H. Spurgeon Autobiography: The Full Harvest 1860-1892 by Susannah Spurgeon (Compiler), Joseph Harrald (Compiler)

Essentials of New Testament Greek by Ray Summers, Thomas Sawyer

I’ve got a lot of reading to do! I’m also expecting some other books for Christmas and I received some money that Amazon or CBD will soon receive. I need a revolving account. Or better yet, I’ll just have my check deposited into an Amazon account, that way I don’t have to go through the charade of pretending to have money.

BTW, I also recently purchased Total Truth by Nancy Pearcey. Which of these should I read first?

    Total Truth.

I’ve read Dever’s book to. It’ll be beneficial but Pearcey’s is the better option

Yes stop pretending you have money. You don’t remember because you are a redneck and keep your money in old your truck out in the lawn and someone stole the money

    I finished Dever’s book recently.

Still working on Total Truth (I get bored with all the ID stuff)

    Reading Spurgeon’s Autobiography.

Oh wait this is about you Jeremy, sorry. Happy Birthday! Read them all at once, its the only way to fly.

Happy happy–if you celebrate that pagan stuff! (Okay just kidding)—
    Happy Birthday–
I’d start with alternating between Dever’s book & Spurgeon’s autobiography.

    Happy Birthday!

I would be the last to qualify to suggest an order of reading. But I know you will enjoy them.

I agree with Jeff. I forgot about Total Truth. It is a must read as soon as possible kind of book.
