From Don Kistler;
Nearly 20 years ago I began publishing the best of the English and American Puritans under the imprint of Soli Deo Gloria Publications. We published nearly 300 titles.
I am no longer a part of that work, but my passion to bring these great books back into print is not at all diminished—and so I am starting all over again.
Our first title is at the printers right now. It is titled “Sermons on the Lord’s Supper” by Jonathan Edwards. Only 2 of the sermons in this book have ever been published before, and those in very expensive editions from Yale University Press.
Jonathan Edwards needs no introduction to lovers of the Puritans. When he died in 1758, he left behind nearly 1100 sermon manuscripts. To date, only about 400 of those have ever been published. That leaves a staggering amount of material from Edwards alone!
But there are thousands of other manuscripts worthy of publication, books that would edify the church and help to reach the lost. I am committed to that kind of literature, in addition to my own preaching and teaching schedule. I hope to publish at least 6 books each year.
This first book is being underwritten by a generous friend of the ministry. Perhaps you would consider underwriting the cost of a book yourself! I am not in a position to do it alone; it will take the help and support of many such friends.
This book is scheduled for a late September release. It will retail for $29.95. It is a hardback book. The pages are sewn together rather than glued together. It is printed on acid-free paper for a shelf life of over 200 years. This is a first-rate production.
As a subscriber to the website, I am able to offer this book to you on a pre-publication basis. Until September 15th, you may purchase this book for $24 postage free.
For all the ordering details, go to Northamptonpress.org and follow the instructions. You may purchase it online via PayPal, or you can send a check made out to The Northampton Press to the ministry address, P.O. Box 781135, Orlando, FL 32878-1135.
Please pray for God’s hand of blessing on this work.
